Very interesting observation I liked the painting more when there was a border now I have painted through the border I feel like the picture looks less Attractive. I think that this is because it feels squashed and stuck. By the fact that there is possibly no drop shadow.

I’ve found looking at Gerhard Richter’s website very stimulating for inspiration. I want to paint bigger and bolder. And Realism is a strength that I would like to bring forward in my work. There is clear confidence and enjoyment visible in Richter’s approach having observed his curiosity with different subjects. I really enjoy his work.
