Looking at Rembrandt I am starting to notice the exquisite beauty of the line he creates drawing landscapes. I am going to try to emulate that in my drawing. Cross hatching is a key technique he uses in his drawings.
Study of L.S. Lowry
This is a study of one of L.S. Lowry’s painting called ‘The Blitz’. I like the composition of the painting I think it has very nice qualities. I used Oils on board in my painting.

It is interesting to look at the artist Joseph William Turner.
Building up water colours
I think that applying watercolour paint to etchings is working, because the paint is naturally absorbing well into the paper but is also adding more to the drypoint and taking it further. I want to experiment more with this next year in the print room.
