Water colour studies
Having been advised in the past about rotating paintings I thought i would try it with these water colours to see if the rotation make the painting more interesting. I think it does add a dimension to how we look at a image.

Found it quite hard to apply the paint with low pigment. Used to applying quite thick gestural marks.

These are watercolour paintings by Norman Ackroyd. I like his use of the medium similar to that of Joseph Turner. He has a very subtle application of the paint.
