Life drawing 13/11/18

This was a life drawing I did today on my course. The main emphasis being that we couldn’t draw lines only tone. The rubbing out effect was interesting to me because it creates a head out of darkness.

Living room drawing

This is a drawing of my living room in my new house. I wanted to sketch it because it has a very interesting interior. It has a lot going on material wise and would be interesting to do a painting of it references from photographs and life drawings.

Paul Nash

Paul Nash is an artist who lived from 1889 – 1946. His work is very poignant as it encapsulates the grim scenes which young men endured during the first world war. He was working in a surrealist style. As well as being a painter he was also a photographer, writer and designer in applied arts.
