Life drawing workshop

Today we did a workshop on life drawing from portraiture it was very beneficial to study using certain materials for creating different effects and moods. We started the class by drawing blindfolded and then using a pencil (soft) to help express our senses of touch on the object and then translated that onto the paper

Mono prints

Mono printing was quite fun and loose. Made me realize just how much work goes into much more detailed prints.

Wetherspoons

Life drawing in whether spoons was fun and challenging. Helpful for getting perspective sorted and for good practice.

Uwe student experiment

This is a screen print done by a uwe student. I think it is very succesful because he clours of the picture seems very striking and compliment each other every well.

Ashley Amery inspiration

I really like the marks made on the paper from Ashley Amery. She uses very simple gestures to portray Seaweed and under water plants. The water particularly in the top right image has a really life like element abut it. She portrays the movement of the top if the water very well.

Screen printed graphics

I really like the transparency of this print. It has a very bold contrast between the black and the whites. My favourite is the one on the left. The figurative aspects of the picture seem quite organic and natural.
